Throughout 2021, the Trump family has been making headlines in South Florida real estate news. Recently, there have been multiple stories about Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle searching for a home in Palm Beach County. In late March, the couple finally found the right property in Jupiter, Florida. Here is more on Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberley Guilfoyle closing on a home in Jupiter.
494 Mariner Drive
Since the beginning of the year, Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle have been searching for their new home throughout Palm Beach County. In January, the couple looked into buying a property in Jupiter’s Admiral’s Cove. However, the pair changed directions and considered buying another house in the Old Palm neighborhood in Palm Beach Gardens. Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle ultimately decided to return to Jupiter’s Admiral’s Cove community. In late March, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle purchased the property at 494 Mariner Drive for $9.7 million.
The couple’s new two-story home at 494 Mariner Drive is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and is situated along the Intercoastal Waterway. The six-bedroom, eleven-bathroom residence spans 11,270 feet. The recently-updated contemporary-style estate has a game room, gym, private office, pool, an elevator, a fireplace, and an extensive backyard. The property also features water views and has a private dock and boat lift.
Residents of the gated, 888-home community are required to purchase a membership to its club. Admiral’s Cove has a marina that can accommodate vessels 70 to 120 feet, 45 holes of golf, two driving ranges, tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center and spa, four restaurants, and a thirty-room hotel for club guests and members.
Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle’s House Search
According to a recent report, the sellers of 494 Mariner Drive are siblings Bruce and Sheri Quinn. The brother and sister also sold the neighboring property located at 492 Mariner Drive this year. At one point, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle were under contract to purchase 492 Mariner Drive. At that time, 494 Mariner Drive was under contract with a different buyer. Neither sale was completed, and 494 returned to the market with an asking price of $10 million. In the meantime, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle entered into a purchase contract on a 11,654-square-foot home in Palm Beach Garden’s Old Palm community. However, the pair did not complete the Palm Beach Garden’s transaction. Instead, they opted to return to Admiral’s Code to purchase 494 Mariner Drive.
The exclusive, ultra-luxury Admiral’s Cove community is located approximately twenty miles away from Mar-a-Lago and is also near Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter. Trump Jr.’s new home is also close to Jupiter Country Club, where his former spouse and five children reside.
The Trump Family in South Florida
The former president and his wife currently reside in the Town of Palm Beach at Mar-a-Lago. Recently, Donald Trump Jr. and his brother Eric Trump listed a property near Mar-a-Lago. The home was previously owned by Mary Trump, Donald Trump Sr.’s sister. In January, former President Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner purchased a $32 million-acre lot in the exclusive Indian Creek luxury island community. The two are residing in a luxury condo in Miami while their house is being built on the lot.
