Golf Pro Re-Lists Jupiter Home for $17 Million

For decades, South Florida has been a favorite destination for professional golfers to call home. The legendary Jack Niklaus has lived in Palm Beach for years. The Golden Bear also founded the exclusive Bears Club in Jupiter, Florida. Championship golfer Tiger Woods lives on Jupiter Island and owns a restaurant in Jupiter. Another famous name in the sport also lives in Jupiter Island—PGA and World Open-championship-winning golfer Nick Price. However, maybe not for much longer. This former top-ranked golfer recently re-listed his Jupiter Island home for $17 million.

Nick Price’s Home on Jupiter Island

Nick Price was at one time, the number one golfer in the world. The Zimbabwean golfer has won 18 titles and three major championships, including two PGA Championships in 1992 and 1994 and the Open Championship in 1994 before retiring.

In 1994, Price purchased the property at 300 South Beach Road on Jupiter Island, for $4 million. In 1997, construction of the custom-built home with African-style accents and design details was completed. Price has lived in his home on Jupiter Island since it was built. According to a recent article, the former PGA champion previously listed the mansion for almost $22 million in 2016. At the time of the 2016 listing, the home was reportedly one of the most expensive listings on Jupiter Island. The property did not sell, and last year, it was removed from the MLS. However, recently, the retired former golf champion put 300 South Beach Road back on the market, but this time with an asking price of $17 million.

300 South Beach Road

The property at 300 South Beach Road is approximately 11,000-square-feet and is situated on about 6.5 acres. The five-bedroom-home includes two offices, a gym, a media room, a dining room, a bar, and several outdoor living and dining areas. The property also has a dock with an 8,000-pound boat lift, a tennis court, and an expansive pool. The estate sits on the Intracoastal Waterway and comes with deeded access to the beach on the other side of the island through a private laneway shared with two area homes. The landscape is flanked with Banyan trees and tropical plants and with custom-designed interior woodwork completed in a traditional-style with African-influence.

The Jupiter Market

According to a recent report, before the coronavirus pandemic, the Jupiter Island market was sporadic, and it was not unusual to see price reductions in real estate sales. With increasing sales as buyers from the Northeast move into South Florida, Jupiter Island, and Jupiter, high-end sales prices have been rising.
