Recent Multi-Million Dollar Home Sales in the Mar-a-Lago Neighborhood

When President Donald Trump announced his future plans to live in his historic Mar-a-Lago estate, the area began to buzz with real estate activity. Although President Trump has yet to make West Palm Beach his permanent home, the market is moving. Here is more on the recent multi-million-dollar home sales in the Mar-a-Lago neighborhood.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s former Palm Beach home was recently listed by its current owners for $47.5 million. The 14,000 square foot home is close to the Mar-a-Lago club and sits next door to a property owned by author James Patterson. Just months before his untimely death, the former Beatle and his wife purchased this vast estate. Famed Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner designed the 1920s era Mediterranean-style mansion. The property offers a tennis pavilion, three-car garage, oceanfront dining room, library, and several other stunning amenities.

Just two streets north of Mar-a-Lago at 145 Kings Road, a renovated 1924 home recently sold for $4.25 million. The property is believed to have originally been the teahouse or staff quarters for one of Palm Beach’s grandest palazzos, Cielito Lindo. The original 1920s mansion was said to have more than 120 rooms. The mansion was bisected in the 1940s into multiple residences. Real estate investor Samir Bonomo and his wife Michelle now hold the deed to the property. After the sale, the home underwent a full renovation that included updating the kitchen and interior.

Earlier this year, just south of Mar-a-Lago, historic Regents Park saw two of the five houses on Regents Park Road sell for between $7 and $8 million. The homes in this area were built by developer Clarence Mack in the late 1950s and sit in an architecturally protected historic district. The neighborhood has been granted historic district status. The property at 100 Regents Park Row was recorded as having changed hands for $7.1 million.  This sale came just five days after the $7.5 million sale of 500 Regents Park Road was recorded.

In May, 1820, S. Ocean Blvd changed hands for $46.75 million. Built in 1924, the ocean-to-lake estate has 14,550 square feet of living space and five bedrooms in its main house and a 4,800 square foot, five-bedroom guest house. Addison Mizner designed the main house, and the guest house was created by another famed Palm Beach architect John L. Volk. The home underwent an extensive renovation with updates to its kitchens, bathrooms, and several other areas. The property has more than 330 feet of ocean and Intracoastal Waterway frontage and a private tunnel beneath the coastal road that provides beach access. There are also two lakeside swimming pools and an oceanfront tennis court. This lavish estate is approximately 1.5 miles south of Mar-a-Lago.
