It was recently reported that PB Studios LLC had acquired 28,800 square-feet of industrial space in West Palm Beach for $4.4 million. The company is reportedly tied to famed motivational speaker and author Tony Robbins. This development has raised the question: Is self-help icon Tony Robbins setting up a production studio in West Palm Beach?
Tony Robbins and South Florida
Tony Robbins moved to South Florida in 2013 when he purchased a home at 750 S. Ocean Blvd., in Manalapan for $24.75 million. According to his book, Money: Master the Game, Robbins’ primary motivation to move in 2013 were the rising taxes in his then home state of California.
When Robbins and his wife Sage began their search, they fell in love with Palm Beach. When asked in an interview what was special about Palm Beach, Robbins said, “I would often visit South Florida, but wasn’t hooked on it until I started hanging out with some friends who lived here, and then I found the perfect location. Palm Beach is an exquisite place, and I really am an island guy. We love the restaurants, the people, and the weather. We have privacy with a house overlooking the beach and the Intracoastal at the back.”
Robbins said in his book that “After looking at 88 properties in three states in just three weeks (I told you I’m a massive-action guy), we found the only brand-new home on the water in Palm Beach. Two acres, nearly 200 feet of ocean frontage on one side, and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway on the other, with a 50-foot boat dock. I feel like I’m back in my home in Fiji – it’s extraordinary. Sage has everything she wants close by: world-class restaurants, shopping, easy access to the entire East Coast, and all the privacy and serenity of living on an island right here in the United States.”
Robbin’s Plans in West Palm Beach
The best-selling author is well-known for presenting motivational workshops and seminars. He also owns Tony Robbins Productions and Fortune Practice Management, worldwide seminar and product business Robbins Research International, Namale Resort & Spa in Fiji, and several other companies.
The recently acquired warehouse property was built in 2004 and has 38-foot ceilings, five bays, and a full-size truck size scale and weigh station. Robbin’s company reportedly plans to use the warehouse property located at 2951 Electronic Way to build a production studio. Construction is not yet underway on the new studio.
